Export data from Onvio

This article provides information about data that you can export from Onvio, including areas in the application where you'll see the various types of data that are available for export. Click the links in the table below for detailed information on how to export data from specific areas of Onvio.

Most of the data that you can export from Onvio is available in grids, which are lists of information formatted in rows and columns. When you export data from a grid, the result is an exact copy of the grid in a Microsoft Excel (.XLSX) spreadsheet.

To export the data in a grid, click the Export button at the top of the grid.

Note: You can export data that doesn't appear in a grid to other file formats. See the table below for more information.

Example

The list of clients in Onvio Center Setup > Clients is in a grid. Click the Export button at the top of the Clients grid to create a copy of the list of clients in Excel. The Excel document will contain only the basic list of clients. Client information that you see when you edit a client, such as the entity type or address, is not exported to Excel.

The Documents Export utility is available to firms who want to export all their documents. The utility can be accessed only with a provided link; it is not searchable within the Help & How-To Center. This utility should be used for firms who are leaving Onvio; we do not recommend using this to back up data and it should not be run regularly or repeatedly.
