Onvio Tax overview
Onvio Tax is where you process tax returns for your firm's clients.
Click the application menu button and select Onvio Tax, then open a tax return project and use the following tabs to enter data, review amounts, and file the return.
- Properties tab: Review and edit information about the tax return project, such as the attached state returns and the assigned preparer, reviewer or staff member.
- Data Entry tab: Enter tax return information on data-entry screens and review the associated forms by switching between data and form view. Data-entry screens are organized into folders according to category (such as Income, Rent & Royalty, or Deductions). You can find for specific data-entry screens and fields via keywords by using the Search feature. Navigate between data-entry screens using the folders block on the left side of the screen.
- Beneficiaries tab (1041): Enter information about beneficiaries for federal and state returns and specify allocation amounts or percentages.
- Review tab: Resolve critical, FYI, and e-filing diagnostic messages, review amounts on data-entry screens and forms, and lock the return to suspend calculations and prevent further data-entry.
- File Return tab: Create e-files, digital copies, or PDF versions of returns and extensions to file with taxing authorities, store in Onvio Documents, or print paper copies.
