Log in and get familiar with Onvio

  1. Log in to Onvio at  https://onvio.us using the instructions you received via email. We recommend using Google Chrome as your web browser.
  2. Review the Onvio Tax overview training video, which walks you through the process of setting up, preparing, and filing a tax return. This information is provided via video so you can watch it at your convenience and refer back to it as needed.
  3. You can find answers to your questions about Onvio via our Help & How-To Center, which you can access via help buttons in the upper-right corner of most Onvio screens.

Set up your firm and staff information

  1. To begin setting up your firm and staff, open Onvio Center by clicking the Application menu Menu button and choosing Onvio Center.
  2. Your firm administrator is in the Full Access Tax Users permission group, which can access Onvio Tax, Documents, and Client Center. If necessary, you can add staff to this permission group. If you don't have any staff members, you can skip this step.
  3. Assign tax roles and enter EFINs and PTINs for your staff, if applicable. If you don't have any staff members, you only need to do this for yourself.
  4. If you plan to file returns electronically, submit your EFIN application summary if you haven't done so already.
  5. Choose Setup > Firm and verify that your firm's name, address, Employer Identification Number, and other information is correct. Note that this screen also displays your Firm ID.
