Set up recurrence frequency and options for project templates

You can set up the recurrence frequency for project templates. The recurrence frequency lets Onvio know how often the project will occur and when the project will be due. You can set Project and Task Generation Options on project templates and on individual projects.

Before you start

Make sure you're assigned to a permission group that has Project Templates enabled.

Set up recurrence frequency and options

  1. Go to Setup, then Project Templates.
  2. Select Add or select the project template, then select Edit.
  3. In the Recurrence tab, select a Pattern.
    • For Annually and Periodic recurrence frequencies, you can select fiscal year end or calendar year.
    • For projects that use an accounting application, you can base recurrence frequency patterns on a client's accounting periods.
  4. Use the additional options to further define the recurrence pattern.
    • For example, for biweekly payroll work, you can create a project template that will be due every two weeks on Friday (weekly pattern, due every 2 weeks, on Fridays).
  5. The Project and Task Generation Options allow you to choose which values are retained from the current project and/or task instead of the template.

Note: Task List must be marked under Project Generation Options before Task Generation Options are available to mark.

  6. Make changes and select Save.
