Use Advisory Projects or Advisory Documents Templates
When you open a project or binder in Onvio Advisory, you can add, delete, upload, or download files for your client.
To open a project or a binder in Advisory, click the Projects tab or Setup > Advisory Documents Templates, and then click the project or binder.
- Upload various types of files to the binder.
- Add scanned items such as Microsoft Word documents and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to the binder.
- Create Microsoft Word documents for a project.
- Create Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for a project.
- Open files in Onvio Advisory and then edit them locally and sync your changes using Onvio Link.
Note: You need to have Onvio Link installed to open documents.

Preview documents (for example, Microsoft Word documents, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and so forth) in a preview screen that is launched from the application. To preview the document, click the Preview button in the Actions column.
From the preview screen, you can download the document as a PDF, download it to your computer and open it in its native application, print the document, move the document, copy the document, or delete the document. You can also update document properties in the Preview screen.

Organize and view your client's folders and documents. You can add folders, drag and drop folders and documents to move them to another location, and view the contents of the Recycle Bin.
Note: You can click the vertical border that divides the two panes to show or hide the Folders pane.
- Manage the documents and folders.
- Protect (or unprotect) documents to prevent them from being modified, moved, copied, renamed, or deleted.
Note: You cannot edit protected documents in Onvio Advisory. However, you can download them, edit them in their native application, and then upload the updated documents.
- Add, edit, or delete comments.
- Show / hide columns by clicking the icon.
