Add Advisory Documents project to a client
Create and assign projects to clients to add the files and folders needed to complete your advisory work.
Before you start
- Make sure you're assigned to a permission group that has Clients and Projects enabled.
- You need project templates where the Application is Advisory and the Type is Advisory Documents to create Advisory Document projects.
Add a project for one client
While you work in Onvio you can add new projects as needed. When you need to assign a project that doesn't exist yet, you can select Add Project at the top of the list of existing projects.
- In Onvio Center, go to the Projects tab.
- Select Add, then Project.
- In the Project Template field, choose an existing template or select Add Project Template to to create a new one.
Note: The Application must be set to Advisory and the Type set to Advisory Documents to create Advisory Document projects.
- Check that the fields populated by the template are correct and complete any additional fields.
Note: The Contact field can only be the client or someone listed in the Relationships tab for the client.
- Select Switch to Advanced Mode to add more specific information, like target dates, storage, and reoccurrence.
- Select Save when you're finished.
Add projects for multiple clients
You can quickly create similar projects for multiple clients at once.
- In Onvio Center select Setup, then Clients.
- Mark the checkboxes to select multiple clients.
- Select Edit.
- Select Add Projects, then Next.
- In the Project Template field, choose an existing template or select Add Project Template to create a new one.
- Select Show Details to see more information or to remove an item from the list of items you're editing.
- Select Done to save your changes or select Previous to go to back to the last step. Select Cancel to undo all changes and go back to the Clients screen.
