Single base year planning

In a multiple-year, multiple-case plan, you can choose to display the first plan year in a single column instead of repeating it within each case. Single base year can be selected when creating new Advisory Planner projects, or you can follow the steps below to update an existing plan to use single base year.

  1. With an Advisory Planner project open, Select Edit plan, then Single Base Year.

Note: The Single Base Year command is not available if the open plan includes fewer than two years and two cases, or if the plan is a family plan.

  2. You will be asked to select which case to get the base year data from. The first year in any case not selected will be lost.
  3. Select Continue.
  4. Select the Case drop-down list. The first year in this alternative will be used as the base year.
  5. Select the Continue.
  6. Select Update to view the plan in single base year format.

Note: Calculated carryforward amounts from the base year column will continue to carry forward to subsequent plan years under each case when single base year format is in use.
