Result Finder

Use Result Finder to calculate the dollar amount needed for a data entry field to achieve a desired result in a calculated field.

  1. To open this dialog, select on the Result finder icon in the menu bar.
  2. Select the case and year that you want result finder to focus on.
  3. Location of target value: Use the drop-down to select any calculated field within the plan.
  4. To achieve the value of: Enter the desired amount for the calculated field chosen in step 3.
  5. Location of input value: Use the drop-down to select any data entry field within the plan.
  6. Select the Calculate button to find the result. If a result is found, you can then click on the Transfer button to push the result to the selected data entry field.

Note: If there are no values found for the data entry field that would allow the calculated value to achieve the desired result, a message will be shown indicating no results were found with the fields selected.
