Result Finder
Use Result Finder to calculate the dollar amount needed for a data entry field to achieve a desired result in a calculated field.
- To open this dialog, select on the Result finder icon in the menu bar.
- Select the case and year that you want result finder to focus on.
- Location of target value: Use the drop-down to select any calculated field within the plan.
- To achieve the value of: Enter the desired amount for the calculated field chosen in step 3.
- Location of input value: Use the drop-down to select any data entry field within the plan.
- Select the Calculate button to find the result. If a result is found, you can then click on the Transfer button to push the result to the selected data entry field.
Note: If there are no values found for the data entry field that would allow the calculated value to achieve the desired result, a message will be shown indicating no results were found with the fields selected.
