Add a new Family plan
A family plan is a type of plan that allows you to analyze how the investment income of minor children will affect the parents' and the entire family's total tax liability. It focuses on a single year and includes one column per child plus one for the parents.
When you need to assign a project that doesn't exist yet, you can select Add Project at the top of the list of existing projects.
- In Onvio Center go to the Projects
- Select Add and choose Project.
- In the Project Template field, choose an existing template or select Add Project Template to create a new one. [[update link to use the new help topic “Create Advisory Planner project templates”]]
Note: The Application must be set to Advisory and the Type set to Advisory Planner to create Advisory Planner projects.
- Select Save & Openwhen you're finished.
- In the New plan dialog that opens, enter the tax year you wish to analyze and select Family.
- Enter the number or children in the family and their names. Click the Next button to continue.
- Enter a description for the plan and add states if desired.
- Click the Create plan button to open the new plan.
