Learn about third-party multi-factor authentication apps

The multi-factor authentication (MFA) feature in our Onvio applications is compatible with many popular Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) multi-factor authentication apps, such as Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. The third-party authenticator option is intended for those firms who are already using another vendor's MFA app to secure their data.

Because these are third-party apps, they do not provide push notifications when you sign in to our products. To take advantage of push notifications and the one-touch access they provide, download the Thomson Reuters Authenticator mobile app.

Enable multi-factor authentication with a third-party authenticator app

To log in to an MFA-enabled account with a third-party MFA app, complete these steps.

  1. Enter your username and password on the Onvio login screen as you normally would.
  2. When prompted to verify your account via MFA, use the third-party authenticator app to generate a numerical code.
  3. Enter the numerical code in the Onvio login screen.

Thomson Reuters cannot provide support for any issues experienced with third-party mobile apps. For assistance with a third-party app, consult your qualified IT professional or contact that company's support team.
