Set up category structures

You can use the category structures in the Account assignment screen to group accounts together for tax exports. You can add or modify an unlimited number of category structures for your project.

Open your project and select the Account assignment tab.

  • We recommend that you use the default category structures, which you can modify. If necessary, you can add new category structures for your project.
  • Each category structure comprises a set of categories and subcategories. You can add, edit or delete categories and subcategories.
  • You can modify each category structure by assigning accounts to categories and subcategories. Select one or more unassigned accounts, select a category or subcategory, then select the Assign button.

Note: Once an account has been assigned to a category or subcategory, you can edit that account from this screen.
