Import data from the ATO Prefill Report (individuals only)

You can import tax return data directly from the ATO Prefill Report into Onvio. This saves time and reduces errors when entering data manually.

The ATO Prefill Report is only available for individual tax returns.

It is strongly recommended to not solely rely on the ATO prefill report alone, but to verify it is complete and correct before lodgement.

Information in the report may be incomplete due to:
  1. An organisation has not supplied data yet
  2. Data was unable to be matched to the taxpayer's record
  3. Information did not pass quality checks

If there are errors in the amounts or missing data in the ATO Prefill Report, you will need to resolve these with the taxpayer to confirm the correct data to include in the tax return.

A copy of the ATO Prefill Report will be saved automatically to the client folder.

Importing data from the ATO Prefill Report

  1. Click hamburger.png and select Onvio Tax.
  2. On the Projects screen select the client to open the tax return.
  3. Click on the Tax Return tab.
  4. Click ATO Pre-fill and then OK to the warning message.
    The ATO data be will be imported into the tax return.
